Dear readers,
I am very sorry, but my health does not allow me to blog alongside my 37.5-hour work week at the moment.
Bleach tablets at work
On Friday morning, the kitchen staff had put my Spanish mop in a bucket of hot water and bleach. I have no idea why they used bleach in the first place, and I certainly don’t understand why they put my mop in their bucket too. My asthmatic lungs reacted to this immediately, and I became short of breath.
The kitchen supervisor told her kitchen assistant to rinse out my mop.
She didn’t understand and wanted to make another bucket of hot water with bleach tablets in it, twice.
When I explained what was going on for the second time, she returned the mop without rinsing it.
I remained short of breath all day.
Barbecue smoke at Fantasy Fest
On Saturday, my husband and I went to Fantasy Fest at the Broodfabriek in Rijswijk. There was a barbecue outside, and the smoke from it came inside. First in the first hall. We left this hall, and I took out my emergency inhaler. Late in the afternoon, the smoke reached the second hall as well, and then we went home. It is now Sunday afternoon, and I still have burning lungs.
Blog break

I have been working 37.5 hours a week since August this year. It is quite tough going from 27.5 to 37.5 hours. Plus, there is a lot of smoking next to the factory grounds.
My plan now is to write blog posts at my own pace. No fixed schedule, but whenever I have the energy for it. All these posts will then go online on Saturdays starting in January 2027. This way, I can build up a buffer.
I hope you understand and I hope to see in Januari 2027!
